The My Stop @ The Library…

So as I was Pokémon Go-ing in the parking lot of the library, bringing back The Winner’s Kiss, I went in and found some amazing books available!!

Guess what I got!!!

Three books I’ve been wanting to read, along with two others that sounded intriguing. But finally!! I’ve waited so long to read these.

::does a happy dance::

Now back to finishing Need…

      1. That’s why I love the library. I read a post where someone trashed “An Ember in the Ashes,” and she’s a big blogger, so I’m going to wait until the library has a copy and check it out. I used to avoid books with negative reviews, but I noticed that I happen to like some books that others don’t. Don’t know why…

      2. I haven’t read any books from the library yet. I’m one of those people who likes to cruise the shelves and checkout books they never read. I was planning to start reading their kindle books through OverDrive. I should do that more often with the hyped books because they’ve been a real disappointment. I’ve seen a lot of complaints for that book. I typically dislike the books people I know don’t like. I guess cause we have similar tastes and interests. I’m planning to read Throne of Glass, which I know won’t like, just so I can do a snark-off rant with my friend. 🙂 I love ranting.

      3. Yeah, that’s another book that I’m hesitant to read. But so many people love it. I use Overdrive all the time! I have Need from there, and a couple other books that I checked out, like Crimson Bound and A Court of Thorns and Roses. I have several on hold, too.

      4. I have so many books to read that I paid for or received an ARC that I can’t even think about checking one out from the library. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that before I bought all these books. And I have so many ARCs to read now I’m hardly making a dent.

  1. I totally feel your pain. I buy a lot of books when they go on sale digitally for like. $1.99, but I tend to put them on the back burner because I own them and can read them whenever. Which leads to me never reading them, because I always have books that are due at the library or for review. And, just today, Digiwriting gave me two books on NetGalley because I’m auto-approved, and so my score went down because I already have the two I’m working on.
    Have you ever heard the expression, “My eyes were bigger than my stomach?” I wish there was a saying like that for books. Because that’s how I feel!

    I LOVE the Wrath and the Dawn, though I haven’t read the sequel yet. Ahdieh crafted such a wonderful, slow-burn story by utilizing an existing history and culture with the utmost responsibility. I really hope you enjoy it. Haven’t read the sequel yet, though I’m not sure why, ha.
