200 Followers…Yay!!

So I received the announcement of 201 followers the other day…and apparently, if you don’t take a screenshot of it right away…it disapppears! I was so disappointed.

So in order to celebrate, I had to take one from Google and crop it, since it doesn’t have my name on it.

Word to the wise: if you get the notification, screenshot it! Darn it!

To prove it’s really me, I took a pic on my Admin page here:

So now I’m at 204 followers on WordPress…I had papers to write so I couldn’t really celebrate.

But now is the time to celebrate! Whoo Hoo!  πŸΎ  πŸŽ‰ 🎊🍻

I have to say I love you guys…sticking with me even if I can’t always post or I’m behind on responding to comments. I’ll always be your cheerleader, and thank you for being here!

And since this IS a book blog, I’m going to say thanks in a bookish way!

So…

And I do, too. So does the man in the yellow hat.

Happy Reading!

    1. You will totally get there…it actually says I have over 600 followers but strictly 200something are from WordPress, which is pretty cool…if I can do it, you can! You post WAY more than me! 😘

Thanks I’m trying to get to 100 followers on wordpress I’m currently on 76 I think but I am branching out more into social media so I have just started a LinkedIn and Instagram account to get more followers

    2. I have found that Twitter has helped immensely! I don’t have an instagram account because I don’t take a lot of pics, but I should start one. I never really understand LinkedIn even though I signed up for one.

    1. Thank you. I need to remember that. It was a rough night last night trying to write two papers, but I got it done. There is a lot of juggling happening for real.
You don’t know about Curious George?? Omg, just read one: I’m sure you can find one online! Just to see what us Americans grew up with: a monkey with no impulse control!! πŸ’πŸ΅πŸ™ˆπŸ™‰πŸ™Š

    1. Me too…though I will have to stop being so personal at that point and just blog hop if I get too many followers! I like the manageable numbers so I can say something on everyone’s posts! I don’t know what I would do if I ever got thousands like some ppl do! 😳

  1. Congratulations on 200 followers Stephanie. That’s an amazing milestone and I’m sure it won’t be too long before you read your next one. I love your blog and your reviews, and obviously lots of other people do as well! ❀
Also great bookish way of thanking everyone, that definitely made me smile today when I read your post! πŸ˜€

    1. Oh, good, you liked the Curious George reference?
I kinda found it by accident…I was trying to find a good Thank You image, and it came up, and I thought, hey, that’s book Blogger style!
Thank you for sticking around and always commenting so thoughtfully on my posts. 😊

      1. Yep, got the reference, and not so much because I read the books when I was younger but because it was reference on other TV shows (I think Friends?)
Hey, perfect imagine for a book blogger thank you.
That’s all right, I really do enjoy reading all your posts and you’ve recommended some wonderful books for me to get started on one day as well! πŸ˜€

    2. Well, I’m glad I could be of service!! I def enjoy book referrals and seeing people love the same books as me! And we already like so many of the same things, lol!
I’ll be posting a review of The Scorpion Rules: have you read it? I think you’d really like that one, too!!

    3. Yeah, I know that familiar feeling…I went on my Goodreads app to update my profile and saw I had over 1,000 books on there! Crazy, right?!?
That’s why I started using Amazon for some of my TBR…my Goodreads list needs to be culled.

      1. I’m probably very similar. Not all my books are even on my physical TBR list either, a lot are simply on the list in my head which is not advisable at all! I may have to start cutting a few out, books that have been on there so long I’m either no longer interested in them or never going to get around it.

    4. Me too! I’m going to eventually go on Goodreads and start weeding through…I wouldn’t be surprised if there were doubles on there, bc books are listed separately for paperback, hardback, ebook, and Kindle book…so if I think I haven’t added a book, and I did but under a diff format, there’s ANOTHER book on this list.
I have 600 something on my TBR! Insane!

      1. That is insane, I probably don’t have that many but I don’t have an exact number either because a lot of my to-read list is in my head. Still I know even if there are no doubles there are plenty of books that have been on there so long I’ll never pick up now!

    5. Yeah, I think that would be a good one for us! Definitely a lot easier to stick to than a lot of others…and it could be fun, looking at all the old books I added and weeding through them. I only hope it doesn’t get bigger instead! Like, I’m going through it and I add sequels and books by the same author! I could see myself doing that, too!

You made me feel awesome which is really hard right now bc I have the flu. So thank you for your kind words. I always thought your reviews were so thoughtful and well-written…and thorough! 😘

    1. Do we normally get a notification when we hit a certain number of posts? Or when we’ve been blogging for a set amount of time? (Beth is celebrating her year blogoversary). I only ask bc I feel like I might’ve missed some milestones!

    2. Well, thanks for the help…I only asked bc I saw someone celebrating 100 posts, and I’ve surpassed that awhile ago. And my 6 mo blogoversary comes up next month…so just want to celebrate what I can!

    1. Ehh, not much…maybe 20 more? I’m a slow follower-attractor. I think it’s because I don’t post every day…but I’m cool with it bc I like to read your guys’ posts and the more followers I get and follow back, the harder it is. So I don’t follow back all the blogs that follow me: if it’s not about books (besides one or two early followers), then I tend to not follow back. I mean, if I follow them but don’t read their blog, what’s the point? You know?

      Liked by 1 person

      1. ah yea why follow if you won’t actually drop by – I usually follow back all the bookish blogs but then again, i’m new and need followers :p I’ll listen to your philosophy and I think I’ll follow πŸ˜‰

      2. Thanks! It does make it easier to read from blogs that contain subject matter that you understand. I took all the followers in the beginning and followed them back, but some were too out there for me! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    1. Yup, don’t want to have ppl accusing me of lying…”You made that up! Burn the witch!” I can just hear the chants now…
Yup, now I’m at 290,662…you OBVIOUSLY underestimated my numbers. πŸ˜‘

      1. Ah yes, happened to me as well. And you know you can never get rid of that burned smell in your hair?
D’OH! XD You know that in the European metric system, that actually mean 290.6 right? So that would still be very impressive in four days πŸ˜‰

      2. Yeah, that awful post-witch burning smell…so hard to get rid of! πŸ˜‚
Yeah, you ppl and your crazy “metric system”…think you’re so cool with your kilometers and meters and shit! We have a system based on nothing! And we rock! Mainly because it makes no sense! Actually, from a Simpsons episode, groundskeeper Willie measures the field by sheep stomachs…Lisa says, “Move over, metric system…I’m learning the gastric system!” πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
And yes. I know it’s impressive. All will bow down to my greatness. Or curtsy (if they are wearing a skirt). πŸ™‡

      3. IKR?! No matter how often you wash your hair, there will be always be a waft of burned toast coming from it. Yuck.
LOL! :’) :’) :’) Sounds totally legit. I believe they’re still measuring with sheep stomachs in Kazachstan as well (oh NO she di’int!). Hahahaha XD
