HUGE BLACK FRIDAY BOOK SALE!!

I know I haven’t posted sales in awhile, but that’s because there haven’t been sales on more than one good book at a time. The individual sales I tend to tweet on Twitter @Teacherofya. But this time, there’s too many to go unnoticed.

I give you the best ebook sale I’ve seen in a LONG time!! (All links are included…not guaranteed to work on Amazon.uk or Amazon.au, but give them a try anyway!)

The Shadow Queen – $2.99

Graceling – $1.99

The Falconer Bundle – $2.98

Ruined – $1.99

The Crown’s Game – $2.99

The Distance Between Us – $1.99 (I’m not a contemp reader, but I know many of you love Kasie West)

Fairest – $2.99

The Chemist – $4.99 (This is not one for me bc I’m not into thrillers, but it is Stephenie Meyer, so…)

The Hunger Games – $2.99 (You probably have this already, but if you don’t…)

The Duff – $2.99 (Haven’t read it but it sounds cute)

The Testing – $1.99

Splintered – $1.99 (This is a Kobo link…the Amazon price changed to $4.19, which is a weird price but it was on sale)

Court of Fives – $2.99

    1. I bought almost all of them (some before this sale bc they were on sale before at one point)…the prices are just too good. I didn’t own any of the ones you mentioned so I grabbed them. And though I have a paperback copy of The Hunger Games, it’s one of my faves and I have Mockingjay as an eBook, so it felt right to have an eBook copy of that too. If only Catching Fire would go on sale I would have the whole set!! Lol! 😉
I’m glad I could help spread the deals!

      1. I got The Testing book series for Christmas about 2 years ago or something and I loved them! It was different and unique and such a quick and great read!
I never even heard of Need – until I turned to my best friend, Google – and it sounds amazing! I’ll have to get my hands on it sometime soon!

  1. This is the perfect post for Black Friday Stephanie, and wow it seems like there are so many amazing books on sale as well. A lot of these I already have and are favourites of mine (Splintered, Six of Crows, and The Distance Between Us) but there are a few I need to get my hands on as well. Ruined sounds amazing so I need to start that ASAP, and I’ve heard great things about The Scorpion King too! 🙂

    1. Yeah, I bought all of these except the contemporary books…but I know that others like them and I was thinking about you when I put the West book up!
I have purchased others over the months on sale but the new ones are pretty good. I even bought two books from Bookoutlet yesterday: they are having a HUGE deal today! I got Front Lines and Atlantia in Hardcover for only $10 total! Pretty good deal to me! They also had The Star-Touched Queen but I haven’t read it yet so I decided to wait on it.

      1. The contemporary books are good as well, especially by Kasie West, but I know you don’t read much contemporary so I’m not sure whether I should recommend them to you or not! They’re favourites of mine if that helps you make a decision on whether to buy The Distance Between Us or not. 🙂
Book sales are always a weakness of mine but they’re so hard to resist, especially when there are so many amazing deals out there. It definitely sounds like you got some good ones. I LOVED The Star-Touched Queen so that is one I will highly recommend to you! 🙂

    2. Oh good. Because I requested it at the library and it is ready for pickup! I’m really looking forward to that one. I should’ve just bought it on sale but I wasn’t sure: now I’m kicking myself because if I bought it now I would have to pay for shipping all over again! Argh. ☹️

    3. Well I just picked it up from the library! I’m super excited to read it but have so many others due on the 1st. I’m starting to return the books that aren’t brand new and will be around for awhile…I’m keeping the ones that I’m sure will be checked out if I return them.
I really can’t buy anymore books until after Christmas! I’m missing all the Black Friday book deals!

      1. Whoop, so one step closer to starting it at least! That’s actually a good idea, and that way there’s still a chance you can get them back quickly as well. What have you got next on your to-read list then from the library?
I can’t either, but then again I’m not really missing any Black Friday deals over here so it may it be quite the same thing! 🙂

    4. I’ve got Swarm, The Dark Days Club, the sequel to Ember in the Ashes (even though the first book isn’t due back yet lol and I haven’t read it!), The Swan Riders (I’m reading it now), The Sleeping Prince, Soldier (but I own it so no biggie), and I think that’s all for the 1st.
Then a couple are due on the 6th…I wish I could just buy the books straight out but they are all full price ones still. Ugh. I’ll probably get Swan Riders and one more before the due dates…then it’ll be decision time.
I’ll prob return the Ember sequel since I haven’t read the first…but I want to read the others bad!

      1. Wow that’s quite a few books, but you’ve still got a little bit of time left before the 1st so you may be able to get through a fair few before then. If not then I don’t envy the decision you’re going to face because they all sound like amazing books! 😀

So many good books for so little!! I can’t wait to see what you think about Six of Crows, and The Duff! I haven’t read the rest yet, but they’re on my TBR! I think I’ll have to go and see whether Amazon.co.uk has similar deals!!

      1. Girl Who Reads

Yeah! Exactly, and if I were to find a really good deal, it would be horrible if no one else could benefit from it too! Though, on amazon I found a deal of 3 for £10 in books for Black Friday! WOOO! Do you have a similar thing?

        Liked by 1 person

    1. Me too, but The Shadow Queen for $2.99? I couldn’t turn that down! Now I can return it to the library! I have gift card for Amazon but still haven’t used them…I really should but feel like I’m saving them for something special. Weird, huh?

      1. Girl Who Reads

        I didn’t have that deal 😦 I don’t think I could’ve turned that down!
A little odd, but then it means that you’ve thought wisely about what they’ve given you : )

    2. Well, I always feel like I will find something that I really want but is really expensive…$1.99 here and there does add up, but what if I found a cool book set or something that’s like $20? I have $75 in gift cards and I want to use them for something I wouldn’t normally be able to afford. You know?

    3. Honestly? I have no idea! Maybe a boxed set of something I love? Maybe a couple Hardcover books that are my faves? Maybe a new Kindle? I think I’m going to have to wait until after Christmas and see what I get before I spend any of it so I know what I didn’t get and can buy myself…I really want a Fujifilm Instax camera even though I have a high quality portable photo printer bc I think it looks fun!

  3. Almost every book I own and paid full price for is on this list. Wahhh! 😂😩 This always happens. I bought The Crown’s Game on sale a few days ago. I’m almost tempted to buy The Chemist just so I can snark about it. Stephenie Meyer writing a thriller makes me laugh. Like a lot! 😜

    1. Yeah I can’t bear to bring myself to buy it! I’ve read good and bad reviews. Especially makes me crazy that she reg charges $14.99 for her eBook when the standard price is $9.99. Like she’s so in demand that she can overcharge for her book! I’m thinking there’s a reason why hers went on sale when it hasn’t been out that long…I’m assuming bc it’s not performing well.
But that’s my guess. And I’m sorry you can’t partake in the sale! There’s a couple I left off because I didn’t think anyone would be interested in them: The Chaos of Stars, Made You Up, and Article 5 are all also on sale, as well as Talon and Alice in Zombieland…maybe you might want to check those out?

      Liked by 1 person

      1. I’m seriously tempted to buy it and do a chapter by chapter snark review. I have a feeling based on what I read on Amazon that it will be awful, and I hate Stephenie Meyer’s writing. I don’t get why they charge so much money for her books. She’s not Stephen King and she can’t write to save her life! It must be her publisher that thinks she’s all that. Definitely why the book went down in price. No one wanted to pay a premium for it. I read some pretty bad reviews. What does she know about being a spy? lol It’s just comical.

    2. I agree! I would love to see you do a rant review on this, though…
When I first saw this was coming out, I was kinda angry…first she turned a bunch of readers on through Twilight (it may not be pretty well, but it got kids reading), and The Host (which I actually liked), but didn’t follow through with books in those veins (she writes an Edward book that she never finishes bc of a leak and she left The Host on a critical cliffhanger)! Then she decides to abandon her teen audience and write an adult thriller? I kinda think Hollywood and Fame got into get. It’s a shame.
I won’t touch it with a 10 foot pole. But I’d love to read a slam about it!

    1. Hey, I’m here to spread the savings!!
I don’t make a dime off of this: I just saw all the sales and since there were so many, I hoped you could benefit!! I picked up Six of Crows, Ruined, The Shadow Queen, Graceling, and The Serpent King! Most of the other ones I already had from earlier sales! (Like The Falconer bundle and Splintered).
Hope you get some good ones!!

    1. No…I don’t really have any money! My mom had to give me a credit card of hers to go Christmas shopping with. I need to get to B&N but they probably will be having the same prices on what I need for Sammi and Anne…Anne is my #SFATW person and Sammi is sending me Three Dark Crowns…I have to mail out her book, too. I have so much to do…I usually go Black Friday shopping when I have money but I am not working. Next year.
But Amazon is the best! They have such great deals right now! I DID go on Bookoutlet and buy a copy of Atlantia and Front lines for $10 total! One was $2.41 and the other was $4.54 or something…and they are HARDCOVER! If I had money for me I’d be buying more books from there bc they have amazing deals on books. But for Christmas shopping, it’s really just me and my mom, and she doesn’t need anything I could get at the stores really. I go to antique shops for her.
What about you? Any good bargains?

      1. I took my family to Magic Kingdom, Disney World on Black Friday so no shopping for me. It was our first time and we had a blast 🙂 I did go to a thrift store on Saturday and got the Kite Runner in hard cover. It’s so new and for only 75 cents. I already have a paperback copy at home but I just couldn’t pass up a new hardcopy haha.. I haven’t read it yet but I see there are millions of ratings for this book on Goodreads. I usually like to buy my books at thrift shops because it doesn’t cost too much and save money for travel 🙂 School will be done for you and pretty soon you will get a real job so no worries about anything 🙂 I rather buy gifts after the holidays because it gets so much cheaper. One time at Goodwill, they were having 50% off, I got 10 books for my son and I, and it came out less than $4. I featured them on my Instagram, two books from Jojo Moyes and they were so new! I’m addicted to books at the thrift stores! hahaha…

    2. Me too! That ACOTAR was an ARC proof, so that was cool. And I found a copy of City of Bones (Mortal Instruments) for $.49. If I had known you wanted to read The Kite Runner, I would have sent you my copy. I have too many books. Not enough space. I have to get a BOOKSHELF!! Argh!
That sounds like fun…I haven’t been to Disneyland since I was a kid. I bet the kids had fun! You’re married, right? Like, the hubby went too?

      Liked by 1 person

      1. Yes hehe hubby and son and my parents. I also got the Mortal Instrument series but still lack the last 2 books.. haha I go once or twice a week to look for the last 2 so I can complete the series but haven’t had any luck yet. Have you read that series yet? Bookshelf might take up a lot of space. Do you think maybe put up shelving units on the wall is a better space saver?

        Liked by 1 person

    3. Oh gosh yes! Shelving units on the wall would be amazing! You should take a pic of your bookshelves on Instagram sometime so I can see how you do it! Anything is better than crates and stacks!
I haven’t read the series yet but plan on it. I really need to see what it’s like!

I probably wouldn’t read many of these but it’s great you’ve bundled the deals together to let everyone know! It’s cool there’s a couple of new and popular books for sale.

    1. What is your genre of choice? I’m a big fantasy reader, and I own all but the contemporary books I listed. I love getting a bargain! I finally had to put one of my Amazon gift cards on my account bc I was spending too much money with $1.99 here and $2.99 there. I earned a $25 one from Goodreads for completing a survey and I had been holding onto it but it seemed silly since I still have a $50 one from my aunt from last Christmas! I’m a hoarder when it comes to gift cards! Lol!

Romance (if you haven’t noticed, haha). I love , love, love Thrillers but I can’t really read many cause they spike my anxiety and, as much as I love them, it tends to be easier to stay away. Hahah yes it does add up. In fact, I put together a list of all the books I’d like to read on my kindle and it added up to around $93 (I use US Amazon) and I can’t afford that! That’s cool. I remember you talking about that one from Goodreads when you got it. Haha, I don’t get many gift cards. We have these shopping centre gift cards and after a year, it takes off like €2/month to make you spend it. It’s ridiculous!

        Liked by 1 person

    2. They passed a law here or something that you can’t take away from balances on gift cards no matter how old they are: it was decided that it was an unfair practice and once you spent the money it was yours. Now I have gift cards I save for a long time!
Romance and thriller, eh? I like romance in my fantasy and sci-fi…I wish there had been more in the book I just finished. I think books without any love are boring.

Aw, that’s be nice to have here! I think it is unfair. That’s nice. Yah, love them 💙 yeah see I’m not big on the concept of sci-fi and I find it really hard to get into fantasy. I like paranormal type books where the magic is in real life. I guess, I only really like books set in the real world. But, every book needs a romance. What was the book you just finished? Was it still enjoyable? I agree (I may be biased now though 😀)

    3. It’s called The Swan Riders. I’ll be doing a review tonight or tomorrow. I had a paper I had to write and now I’m tired. It’s a dystopian that made me cry. Really good.
It’s so funny that you are like the opposite of me. I read books as far away from reality as possible, and you like to read books set in a real world setting. But we both need love! Without it, the book is bland!

      Liked by 1 person

    1. I hope so!!
I know: I’m trying to stay away until after the holidays, but my family has no idea what to buy me in terms of books…so books are my special buys, as long as they’re inexpensive. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are cruel like that: giving us offers for stuff we like instead of stuff for others! 😂😂😂

    1. I blame the stores too. They sell big screen tvs and laptops for two or three hundred dollars but only have four of them each. So ppl have to take a number and wait in line. I did at Best Buy a couple years and got some cool stuff because they hand out numbers to ppl in line, but Walmart doesn’t do that and it’s first come first serve in the doors. So ppl get crazed.
It’s a shame too bc I think it would be fun if all stores did it like Best Buy. Someone had a tent and ppl were handing out food and hand warmers (it snowed that year) and it was like a big exciting party. That’s how it should be!
