My Review:

First of all, dynamite cover. I knew it was suppose to be a badass butterfly, but it took me awhile to notice the knives. That’s the problem with tiny cover pics and not holding a physical copy of a book.

Luckily, I received an email from Jellybooks saying that Simon & Schuster were doing a campaign, and I could pick any book I wanted to read out of five YA options: since my library does not have this book, I obviously went with this one. That and I’ve been dying to read it ever since I read the description. I’m so glad I got to partake in this reading survey. All I had to do was sync my book at the end of each chapter so that Jellybooks received the reading data. I hope I get to be picked for another one of these! The only drawback was I had to read it on iBooks, and I’m not used to reading on that app…but it worked out.

So enough of all that: let me tell you about the awesomeness that is The Diabolic!

Nemesis is a Diabolic,  a man-made humanoid created to protect one person. And that one person is Sidonia. When bonded, a Diabolic is bonded for life to the person they protect. They will willingly sacrifice whoever threatens the person they protect. Like a lifetime personal bodyguard. Awesome, right?

The only problem? Well, Diabolic started to see threats that weren’t really that immediate. So the Emperor bans them and orders them terminated. But Sidonia loves Nemesis: she doesn’t see a Diabolic when she looks at Nemesis, she sees a friend. So the family fakes Nemesis’s death. No one can know she is the last of her kind.

When Sidonia’s father, the Senator, makes an enemy of the Emperor, he requests that Sidonia join him at the galactic court. And the request isn’t negotiable. Nemesis knows that the Emperor may be calling Sidonia to her death as punishment for the Senator’s behavior. And so she willingly agrees to pose as Sidonia when Sidonia’s mother asks her to. All Nemesis cares about is Sidonia’s safety.

So the family primps and preps Nemesis to play the biggest deception ever. Nemesis will have to be Sidonia, and if anyone finds out that she isn’t Sidonia, but instead a Diabolic that should have been destroyed, the family will be killed.

So Nemesis plays rhe part.

But when a move by the Senator takes everything Nemesis cares about away, Nemesis has no purpose anymore. She wants to die, she wants revenge.

But when an offer of vengeance comes in rhe form of an unlikely ally, Nemesis will have to find another reason to continue living: Nemesis will have to live for herself.

Is It Classroom-Appropriate?

So for some strange reason, The Diabolic is not on Lexile.com, despite all the hype and buzz surrounding this book. A shame, really. But that’s okay. Apparently the Emperor’s nephew, Tyrus, is an inspiration from I, Claudius. It doesn’t get more academic than that! In a Q & A on School Library Journal, she was asked about the connection with the work:

Nemesis is not the only character in the story who has to put on a guise of being someone she is not. I, Claudius centered upon a man born into this murderous royal family who played the fool to survive them and fly under the radar at a time when his relatives were being killed off left and right. There is a parallel with another character in this story; I needed a diabolical, fiendish Livia character to be the evil mastermind behind it all. I’d say the twisted familial and power dynamics of the characters Nemesis interacts with really were born from my love of I, Claudius.

I can definitely find some academic use here. I, Claudius is a book written in 1934 as an autobiography of the Roman Emperor Claudius during Caesar’s and Caligula’s reigns. How cool would it be to have this as a tie-in with I, Claudius as an anchor text? All the power struggles, family dynamics, and themes of identity could be heavily explored. I would definitely use this in the classroom and I could get a lot of material from just The Diabolic: it is a standalone and series books are so hard to do right in a Unit Plan. I’m excited just thinking about it!

Age Range:

So…I’m going to have to go with my gut here since Lexile doesn’t have a guide. There isn’t really any inappropriate material; there is a scene where Nemesis almost gets date-raped, but she isn’t human and the drugs don’t affect her metabolism. That’s really the only sensitive issue here. However, as it is best to be conservative in age assessment, I would say I’d put an age range of 14 and up. Younger readers might have a struggle with the interconnected plot as well. The Diabolic is heavy with intrigue, assassination, and political power plays. I always figure it is best for older, more experienced readers to read books this intricate. But that’s my opinion, and it really could be read as young as 12 if the reader is advanced.

End Result:

Wow. Just. Wow.

There was nothing tropish about The Diabolic, and I don’t hesitate giving it ★★★★★. I already added it to my favorites shelf, and I wish Kincaid would write more in this story world. The plot was engaging, Nemesis was a new type of character, and Tyrus made me love him.

I loved the concept of the religion in the book, and how science was against the belief system…but I will admit that I have seen this before. Any time an author uses a religion in the book, the followers are crazy fanatics that done believe in reason, and he leaders of the religion are corrupt non-believers. I personally believe in God and it has never stopped me from believing science and technology are good things. In the book, Kincaid does give a shout-out to the “old religions” and the people that believe in God instead of The Universe are on the technology train. I did like that reference. I just don’t want people to eventually associate all religious or spiritual people as backward. Cause we’re not.

Be that as it may, I still loved the book and now want to read Kincaid’s Insignia series. She’s got real writing chops. I loved this book and recommend to all who are fans of dystopian lit who are sick of tropes or science fiction fans that love the idea of another race of people want a glimpse of what an imaginative future Kincaid developed.

I also added a rating image on my sidebar to make my star ratings known, but I can’t seem to figure out how to make it readable. I’ll be working on it, but for now, here’s my rating system so you can see:

Happy Reading, y’all! I have gotten behind in my reviews bc of school, but as it is coming to a close, I’ll be popping them up much quicker soon! Hang in there with me, baby! (Just think of the cat poster!)

  1. I’m glad to hear that you liked this one, Stephanie! I recently finished it myself and it was pretty good, though there were some things that didn’t sit well with me. It was still pretty gripping though and very… space opera-ish? And you’re right re: the concept of religion being awesome in The Diabolic. Great review. 😊

    1. Yeah, I was going to say it was still kinda space opera-y….but I didn’t want to turn ppl off. You’re right.
I need to read your review! I need to get through some of my emails and find it! (I read every one of ppl’s posts, but bc of school, I have 800+ emails, and I tell myself I’ll get it down when finals are over).
It wasn’t perfect, but I did like it a lot, but then again I like a lot of stufff. I’m pretty easy to please! 😂😉

    2. Thanks, I try! Tomorrow is the last final and I’ll be putting the hurt on those emails so you might get a ton of comments from me all of a sudden! Lol, they’ll prob put me back in Askimet penitentiary!
Btw, don’t fret! I’m behind on my reviews too. I’m finally catching up but I still have to post one for The Beast is an Animal. I’m reading Ever The Hunted but had to stop and pick up A Clockwork Orange for class…ugh.
I’m only dedicated because I love your blog! And other people’s blogs! The fact that out of so many followers you always comment and stop by makes you so special to me! Bloggers unite! Blogger powers! ✊👊💪

      1. You’ve commented a ton already, please don’t feel obligated (though I am always, ALWAYS happy to get them) if you’re busy! I admire your dedication. 💖

Haha, not fretting at all. I think this is the new normal for me, being like at least 10 books behind or something. Oh well! It’s still fun, so it’s all good.

Oh nooo, thank you so much. I try, but I don’t always get to everyone and ever since I started playing The Sims again I’ve been… hmm, trying to manage my time better between the two. 😂

        Liked by 1 person

    3. I tried to get my mom into the Sims, but she just didn’t get it.
But I do play the Sim-psons! So we have something in common! I love making my town and getting the characters…I have a feeling if I played the Sims I would never return to real-life. 😂
I love our dialogue. I can feel comfortable telling you that I have been so consumed with finals that I have a ton of books that are now late! I need to get to the library tomorrow or I’m going to owe…well, still not that much. Once people hit $10, they stop allowing checkouts so I keep mine going until it hits 10, then I pay it off completely. Otherwise I’d be paying fines all the time! At least I’m supporting the arts, right? 😉
I ❤️ libraries. They are AWESOME!

      1. I don’t think it’s for everyone, tbh. No one else in my life likes it, save for like… two other people. OK, that’s actually some people. 😂

Yes, you are! And that’s so kind that they topped the fine at $10… unless that’s $10 per book?

I think finals have ended now, haven’t they? I hope you have a good weekend and get to relax lots. ❤

    4. Yes, the finals are OVER!
Time to catch up on the blog, some reading, and some shopping for Christmas! (Does book shopping for me count as Christmas shopping? Bookoutlet is my new addiction: it’s evil how cheap the books are!)
The fine at the library is $.15/day…my fines top out at $10 bc you can’t check out any books after you get to $10…so I wait until the fines get to whatever they are when they are at or over $10, and pay them down all the way back to nothing. Usually I don’t have to do that more than twice a year, lol. I don’t like to keep them too long…I always check to see if there’s a hold on a book, and I’ll return that book right away. I know how it feels to wait for books…
I’m going to get on the emails: I have over 1,000 to tackle! I may have to delete some to get them back down! 😂😂😂

      1. It’s okay, my Christmas shopping was mostly books as well! Though I did get myself a journal because it’s almost 2017 and I thiiiink I want to start journaling. 😂

Good luck tackling all those emails! I’m sure no one would mind if you missed or didn’t read some of their posts. Take it easy, you should be on your break. 😘

    5. Yeah, Jasmine made a good point about giving up trying to like every post. She and you are right. I just hate missing out on anything you guys post!
I am going to try to take it easier. It’s nice to finally have a break, you know?
I think journaling is great! I always started one but never kept up on it. My best attempt was through Livejournal.com, which I kept up over several years. I miss it.
But blogging satisfies a lot of my desire to journal. I hope you get a really nice one and fill it up with all your feels! 😊

      1. I can relate! When I was following a small number of blogs it was more manageable, but now I just gave up bc I need to do other things in my life too. It’s definitely a fine balance. 😂

OMG, I used to have an LJ too! I still do, but it was more for fandom/fanfiction/fan graphics purpose when I was a teen instead of like a personal journal. I miss it so much – I migrated to Tumblr after LJ died but it just wasn’t the same.

Thank you! I got a journal yesterday and am super excited to fill it with pretty stuff. 💞

      1. I am! I’m at work at the moment but I’ll take some pics when I have the time and show you later. Nudge me if I forget, though, bc I totally can. 😅

I think it was bought by a Russian company and a lot of things changed, and people started migrating to… uh, Open Journal? I don’t even remember what it was now, but people just stopped posting and the community slowly seeped away. It’s really sad – I truly loved that site.

    6. Oh, I forget about the time difference. I was talking to Sammi at Ohbookishgirl (she’s my Aussie homie), and it was 10 last night but it was 2pm and she was working and it was Monday! I hate time differences because I’m not able to talk to you guys during normal hours for me or for you! Argh!
I’ll bug you on Twitter to see that new journal. Went to B & N yesterday and there were so many pretty journals and I just want to give them a home…my home!
It’s a shame about LJ. They still make the app and I tried to keep up on it, I really did, as it really was the first blogger platform that I can remember. Before MySpace and FB. Wow.
There’s this company that followed me the other day called Blook…it’s like a book made from your blog…I would love to do that with my LJ. A lot if memories on that blog!

    1. Yes, though the standalone part makes me sad bc I’d love to read other books set in this universe. So not tropish though, and I’m noticing a lot more books aren’t, which is so refreshing. You will love this one. I can’t find any fault with this one.
Cannot wait to see what you think! Two more days, finals over, and then catching up on all my blogs!

  2. I love that cover as well and have been thinking of this book for some while now… It sounds really decent and your enthusiastic rating for it makes me want to read it more 🙂

Also- love your rating system 🙂 Well done on putting that together. I’m such a flaky person I couldn’t define my ratings at best of times and often go with my gut so the definitions would be blown out of the park for me 😀

    1. Thank you! You’ll like Nemesis bc she’s a badass, just like you.
I like that I made it…but I don’t like how I can’t seem to make it bigger on the sidebar! I see lots of people with their cute graphics and I suck at making them. I have a textual rating system at the bottom of the page, but I think people miss it or don’t think to look there, and I know I tend to rate higher than most people. But man, I would really love to have someone teach me how to use WordPress and make it look like some of the blogs I’ve seen! Maybe one day, lol!
I’m glad you liked it, though. Makes me feel like the work wasn’t in vain, so thank you, Boss! 😘

Great review Steph as always. I’m glad you liked it. It seems such an interesting read. Do you think it’s suitable for someone who is newbie to sci-fi/dystopia(=me)? Too much info dump?

    Liked by 1 person

    1. No, I think you’d like it! I think it’s very sci-fi, but it’s also got likable characters and a strong protagonist. It would make a good entry into the genre. I’m seeing a lot of ppl who don’t typically read this genre like this book, so I think you’d be ok.
I hope you do choose to check it out!!

  4. I’m so glad you enjoyed this book Stephanie, I think it will be one I’ll definitely be adding to my to-read list as well now! I’ve seen it around a fair bit but never really paid attention to the blurb or the cover (I didn’t notice those knives either until you pointed them out in your review) until reading your post. But it sounds amazing, five stars is a brilliant review and I think our taste in books is similar enough that I can safely say if you enjoyed it I should as well! 😀
    Great review! ❤

    1. Oh, you’ll love this! No doubt!
I think noticing little cover details makes the book even more special! Though I will say that as soon as finals are over (tomorrow), I have a TON of cover doubles that I have been saving, and you’re gonna die! There’s so many out there! It’s crazy! I can’t wait to share with you. 😂😂😂
Def put this on the top of the TBR. I promise I won’t steer you wrong on this one. I haven’t seen a single negative review thus far! 😍❤️️

      1. I’ve had books where it’s taken me a while to spot subtle designs in the cover and I’ve loved it! 😀 Definitely makes it more special.
Ohh yes I can’t wait for more of your cover doubles. I can imagine there are loads out there but I never seem to see any.
It’s at the very top now! Has it already been released or was this an ARC review? Either way I’m sure I’ll love it as much as you have! 😀 ❤️

    2. Oh, it’s released. It is a November or October release, so it hasn’t been out long.
I’m not surprised you haven’t seen many books with doubles…unless you get all the junky emails from indie authors when you enter giveaways, you might not see them at all! It mainly happens with smaller book publishers. But every once in awhile I’ll find one that matches a popular title! I made a wishlist on Amazon just so I could keep track of them all! 😂😂😂

      1. Oh that is good, I’ll have to look into it when I’m on my next book buying spree (which will be after Christmas now!)
Honestly I tend to be awful about emails anyways, I’m the same with text messages, I’ll leave them unopened for days at a time until I can motivate myself to get around to them. Either way I don’t get a lot of newsletters emailed to me anyways so you’re right I probably don’t see them at all, but I do look forwards to your posts on them! 🙂

    4. Oh, I’m so excited for the Goodreads account! I hope I’m one of your first friends!
My fave part of it is just putting my books on shelves (I’m weird, I know). You can make shelves of whatever you want…some ppl make shelves that say “overhyped book” or “Mary sue mc that I want to kill” and they make me laugh! I just organize by genre and review opportunity (Netgalley book, Edelweiss book, read and review misc – there’s a lot on that one lol for the companies that give you a book here or there). I love it and it recently came up with a feature that shows your year in books: longest book read, shortest book read, total books read, average rating, etc! There’s also an option when you look at friends where you can see if you’re “book compatible!” It’s cool.
Sorry, I just love it so much. It was my blog before I HAD a blog. 😉

      1. I will make sure you are! I’ll put a link up on my blog but for the people I talk to every day, like you, I’ll find their accounts and friend them first! 😀
I’ll need to work out what shelves I want to include then, honestly I’ll probably add them as I go along or something, seems easier that way!
I saw that on my personal Goodreads this year, I love that feature Goodreads have introduced because it’s such a great way to look back at your year isn’t it? 😀
Ahh, you must have some fond memories of it then! 🙂

    5. I do. I made a lot of friends on there!
But I have neglected it for my blog. I post my reviews here and then immediately after I post them there, and I still mark what I’m reading and use my TBR. But I don’t like people’s reviews on there like I do on here. It’s just not as satisfying, tbh. You comment but it’s not as interactive. It’s more (to me) now like a place for my own organization.

      1. I think that’s how Goodreads will be for me as well. I interact with people on WordPress a lot and for me this is where I talk to people; like their posts and comment on them as well.
For me Goodreads has always been a more organisational place rather than anything else.

For me it’s WordPress, I guess at the moment it’s the same for you whereas before it would have been Goodreads wouldn’t it? I’m sure your GR friends understand though, people do get busy and have to put things like social media sites on standby for a while, hard as that may be. 🙂

I now am glad I found WordPress though some blogs I wish I could follow from here: there are some cool blogspot users but it’s a pain in the ass to follow their blogs when they aren’t on WordPress. I use Bloglovin but I never check it and only have 6 followers!

Bloglovin is just a multi-blogging platform. So say you have friends that have Blogger accounts, WordPress accounts, and just reg non platform accounts. You can follow them ALL on Bloglovin. Even if they aren’t on there. It’s a cool idea, but I’m so busy checking this platform that I don’t have time to check the other blogs.

That advertising graphic about the Diabolics is so great XD XD I love stories with strong friendships, too.

Agreed, it’s annoying when authors stereotype religious followers. Religion is such a rich vein to explore in speculative fiction, I love it when authors accept that challenge! (Brandon Sanderson does a great job with this.) I also believe in God and am not, you know, evil. Or backward.(Although I do live in the rural backwaters of northern CA. There’s usually a reason behind the stereotype, hehe.) Great review and excellent points, my friend!

    1. Thank you very much!
I’ve heard good things about Sanderson, but early when I was trying to find good authors to read (way before blogging so long ago…), I found a list of authors that paid for good reviews: they bought reviews in bulk to push sales. Sanderson was on that list, so I shied away from him. Maybe he just did it to spread word of mouth, Idk. But if you say he’s worth reading I guess I’ll check him out!
Go religion in books being represented correctly! Glad you see what I mean! 😘😘😘

Ew, I hadn’t heard that. Well, thankfully, his books actually deserve the praise 😉 Thanks again for this great review! I think my library is buying it, but it hasn’t come in, yet.

    2. Don’t you hate the Waiting Game? That happened to me at my library with The Sleeping Prince and now Heartless. I’m lucky I won that ARC of it on Twitter or I would never get my hands on it!
I love my library, don’t get me wrong, but they run about three months behind on new releases, when the Herrick Library, which is in our system, gets EVERY book released. And I can’t request rhe new titles from them for three months, when they are no longer “new,” unless I go down there and check them out myself. Ugh. By the time I can check them out, my library gets them. I know your pain, my friend.
Google authors who buy reviews and you’ll see a list of some who’ve been caught. Let me know what you find!

Haha, yeah. It’s like, seriously, can we buy this already?! A lot of libraries have such heavy budget cuts, so I understand why it’s hard for them to stock up though 😦

Huh, you’re right about Brandon Sanderson being on the naughty list. That’s seedy. Well…I do really love his work- it’s so unique. He’s one of my top 5 favorite authors. Clearly a lot of people really like his work, and they can’t all be paid. Even if he bought, say 500 ratings, he has about 500 times that many, so that was just a waste of money on his part, if he really did so. Still a little tarnishing, though.

        Liked by 1 person

    3. I can see your point: it did get the people to read the book, and the people who read it liked it, so now his five stars are legit. So I’ll give him a chance. I was just so shocked at some of the authors on that list…some I wasn’t surprised, like that Shades of Vampire series you always see at a high number on Amazon…by that Bella Forrest or whatever her name is…she’s got like, 15 books in the series, and I was thinking about reading her books when I saw that she bought reviews…so I looked closely at the reviews and they were so different! Some raved and some totally trashed it. When it comes to that much of a disparaging difference, I will not usually pick up a book that’s an unknown: even if it is only $.99.
I trust your judgment since we like such similar stuff, so I will grab one of his and check him out, as I have to admit I’ve been curious about him!
Any book of his in particular you recommend?

You’re right, it is shocking 😥 So sad that authors would defraud their readers. I wish he would address it, somewhere. As far as his books, I’ve loved everything by him! Hm…The Mistborns took a bit for me to get into, but they always have great plot twists near the end. The Way of Kings is great, so far, but it’s over 1,000 pages- pretty long for an intro to his work! Haha. For a standalone, I would recommend Elantris (which I’m totally loving right now!) or Warbreaker (bc the two female protags sound awesome). But he also has two popular YA book series; I think the one starting with Steelheart is most popular. I haven’t read either series, yet. That was a long answer XD Sorry about that. He has sooo many books!

Wow, you’ve really researched this topic, and the market! That’s so cool. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I really like how you review indie books- you’re so brave! I haven’t tried very many, though I really should. Next time you find a good one, I’ll check it out (unless you have a recommendation for a really good one right now! 🙂

    4. Yes, I agree it’s off-putting that author’s don’t address it. But I’m glad he’s getting really good reviews now. I’ll check out his YA series…the adult fantasy/science fiction can be too elaborate for me. 😂 I need something dumbed down!
My fave indie authors are Sarah Noffke and Jenny Lynne. Mainly because they have books that would be mainstream if some publisher would just pick them up!
Jenny Lynne is a close friend now and she used my Review in her advertisements and bookmarks. I have some that I’ve been planning on mailing out to my blog friends (and some signed by a mainstream author too), but I would definitely recommend those two, or Tenille Berezay. They are awesome dystopian chicks, and I love dystopian!
Any time you need a rec, I’ll have one lol! Thanks for the Sanderson recs, bc I wouldn’t know where to start, honestly! 😘

    1. You should love it. Haven’t seen a bad review yet!
Don’t feel bad: I own lots of books that are awesome and I haven’t read them because I have so many borrowed books and RaR requests! You own it so you can read it whenever you want!

    1. Thank you, Marie! It really is a treasure!
I love it when you read a book you’ve seen around but haven’t had a chance to read…then you read it and it knocks your socks off! (Proverbially of course. My socks stayed on as far as I can tell lol).
I hope you do give it a chance, bc I love it when people check out a good book and love it too! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it! 😊

  7. I love the whole idea of this book! I remember seeing a lot of mixed reviews for it at first but lately all I’ve seen is raving. I’m definitely going to have to read this one in the future. Also, I so didn’t notice the knives on the cover until you pointed it out 😂. Great review, Stephanie! 😊

    1. Thanks Melissa!
I really liked this one. Lately after this it’s been mediocre stuff, but this one was definitely worth every star.
I’ve seen the reviews, but all I have seen are rave ones. I’m reading Children of Eden now, and on Amazon it has a 97% five star rating! So that floored me. I think ratings can be tricky…did you know Brandon Sanderson bought ratings, and some other popular authors too? So I’m always skeptical. But Stealing Snow is the only book so far where the ratings were accurate, at least to me.
I hope you give it a go! Love to see what you think of it! 🤔

      1. You’re welcome!! 💕
Some authors really do that? See I never knew that. I usually base what I decided to read off reviews from a lot of you guys on here to be honest. Either that or the synopsis. I don’t really pay attention to the star rating.
Yeah from everything I’ve read about Stealing Snow it seems to have earned its rating haha 🙈.
I definitely plan on getting around to it when I have the chance.

    2. Yeah I didn’t know about it until I came across an article shaming the author of A Shade of Vampire (I can’t think of her name offhand) and it was during my Vampire phase. Apparently authors do that when they are starting out and have no reviews but want ppl to take a chance on their book. But the reviewers don’t read the book.
You can tell apparently because the names will be Amazon Customer or something generic, and the review will be vague.
I wouldn’t want to do that and tarnish my rep if I was an author, but whatev!!
I mainly read SS bc I couldn’t believe it was that bad when ppl loved her Dorothy series and there was so much hype.
But it was. It was written poorly and only got exciting near the end. And there’s a love square. Not a triangle. A love square. There’s three boys. 😂

      1. Oh wow. I almost never look at reviews for books on Amazon but that’s good to know. I know right? Also, buying reviews when there are so many bloggers out there that would probably be willing to read it seems pointless.
I haven’t read her Dorothy series but I heard the same thing. There was so much hype because people loved that series but yeah I heard about the love square in Stealing Snow. I can barely handle a love triangle much less a square. 😂

    3. I guess if they buy the reviews it guarantees them five stars! 🤷‍♀️ Ppl are cray cray in the hey hey,
I haven’t read the Dorothy series either but that one has mad hype. Then I think the biggest misconception was that Stealing Snow was about Snow White (I thought that) but it was about the Snow Queen, which I have never read.
What’s next? A love tetrahedron? I’m waiting for that! 🤔

      1. True. Although, you would think that they wanted to earn those five stars. But hey to each their own and all of that 😂.
Yeah, I read several reviews where people said they went into it thinking it was a Snow White retelling but then it wasn’t. Oh no. I can just imagine the reviews for a book with that LOL.

    1. Oh, I lurved it! So much!
I just got back my request for The Book Jumper: denied! I should’ve waited until I posted some reviews…I know they are denying me bc of my 8 books and no reviews. I’m sure if I had waited, I could’ve gotten that book! Damn! I really want to read that!
I’m glad we are doing that Netgalley And Edelweiss challenge so that I can start requesting books again and know I won’t be denied! Lol.

Then her mom came out of the car and SPIT ON ME, TOO! People had to hold me back! I was gonna kill her. 👿👿👿

    5. Oh I so almost did. People were holding me back and I’ve never been that pissed off…I mean, white trashy, right!? Oh, I made her life hell after that…the whole reason it started is because she got one of my friends expelled: she was caught with pot and she said where she got it from!! Who narcs like that?
Oh, I wonder what trailer she lives in now…with 10 children and food stamps…hmm. (Just guessing here)
