TeacherofYA’s Very First GIVEAWAY! (::cheers::)

So…all you guys out there in Radioland…

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. It’s an old phrase and I’m old I guess. Lol.

Today I’m about to reveal the very exciting, very beautiful cover for Dyan Chick’s second book in the Heir of Illaria series, Oracle of Illaria. Now, if you haven’t read Heir of Illaria, no problem, as I’ll address that shortly.

Dyan and I have been totally excited to set this up, and as a book that’s close to my heart, I feel everyone who’s a fan of YA fantasy should read her book. Dyan does, too. That’s why we came up with this idea…and we have been waiting all this time to reveal it to the world (::cackles::)! Mwhoohaha! 😈

So here’s the reveal….what you’ve been waiting for….drumroll, please…

THE COVER OF BOOK TWO, ORACLE OF ILLARIA!!

The beauty…oh, the beauty…

Who wouldn’t want to read this? (No one answer that…it’s rhetorical, mmkay?)

Here’s the blurbie:

When I agreed to fight for my throne, I knew I it wasn’t going to be easy. Preparing for battle with an evil Necromancer King and an undead army was expected, what I didn’t see coming was betrayal, or what the pursuit of power would cost….

Now, not only does Dyan have a giveaway for y’all, but she’s doing something to help those who really really really want to read Heir of Illaria first.

Heir of Illaria WILL BE FREE FOR TWO DAYS ON AMAZON KINDLE.

WHAT? Did I hear that right?

Heir of Illaria will be free on March 30-31 only!

Here’s the link…but you gotta wait until tomorrow! Heir of Illaria – Amazon

There’s also a preorder link for those who have read the first book and are DYING to get their hands on book two.

Here is the preorder link (and very reasonably priced, I might add): Oracle of Illaria – Amazon

Now…for those of you who have no idea what this is all about, we are doing a GIVEAWAY FOR TWO SIGNED COPIES OF HEIR OF ILLARIA!!

In Illaria, there is a fate worse than death.

As long as I can remember, I’ve been taught to fear the Necromancer King. He controls the kingdom of Illaria with dark sorcery and the constant threat of his undead army. I never thought I’d have reason to cross his path. Everything changed the day his guards tried to kill me. That’s when I found out my whole life has been a lie. By joining a resistance group called the White Ravens, I’ve claimed new roles. Princess of Illaria, sorceress in training, and threat to the Necromancer King.

If you missed my Review, there’s a Link for that too! (Links for days, yo!) – Heir of Illaria – My Two Cents
Ok, so there’s all the other stuff…so who’s ready for a giveaway???

http://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/display/dea525e32/?

Please enter….you’ll hurt my precious feelings if you don’t.

**Unfortunately, do to budget restraints, this giveaway is U.S. only. However, Dyan made the book free on Amazon to try and compensate for that. We will see if we can address any pressing concerns about INTL readers…for right now it was the best we could think of. I will be holding my own giveaway and it WILL be INTL so hang tight, blogger bunnies!**

For now, ta ta!

  3. Great post Stephanie, and wow this is a gorgeous cover as well!
I’d totally enter the giveaway but I’m not a US resident (unfortunately) so instead I’ll just be sure to check out the book when it’s free on Amazon tomorrow. I remember your review for the first one was really positive so I should try and get around to it, plus the covers are gorgeous which is enough to get me to pick it up even without the blurb being intriguing.
Good luck to everyone who enters the giveaway though. 😀

    1. Thank you and I mentioned to Dyan that we need to make it available to our International friends. She didn’t know what else to do…so here’s hoping it works for you. If not, I’ll be running my own giveaway for prob some Book Depository money so everyone can enter that! 😊

  5. Yay for first giveaway…
It’s OK that it’s only open for US readers only at the moment, I’m thankful to check out the first book for free. Very kind and I am grateful for this 🙂 Going by your warm recommendation Teach, if I dig the first one, I’ll be more than happy to buy the second book in the series!
Good luck to all entrants! 🙂

      1. Hahahah…yeah, giveaways are fun… especially when you can ask for something cool back.. say, I’ve been thinking of doing a kind of a talent contest, much like Drew did with his poetry giveaway? I think it could yield some interesting results…

Oh gosh, I got the first book in the series and the cover is just fabulous, isn’t it? I’m loving it, hope to try it out soon 🙂

    2. I am SO GLAD that the book works on Amazon for everyone. I was very worried about that! I hope you like it, and if not, at least it’s purty, right? 😂
I think that would be fun…I wasn’t around for Drew’s contest so I don’t know how it all goes, but I would be interested to see!!

    1. True! You’re right! I shouldn’t do it myself. I was just recently reminded when I was in a group DM chat and my age came up…and everyone was like, “No! It can’t be!” I felt like a vamp preying on their youth, lmao!!
      😂😂🤣
      I reminded myself that I’m not old…I’m youth-challenged.
And yes, my “giveaway” cherry has been popped! Not exactly very “YA” of you to say! 😳 (Have you popped yours, Drew? 🤔)

      1. Ha, Lmao, if they were young boy bloggers, that’d make you a cougar!😂

Oh, I do apologise, it wasn’t very Y-A of me, alas, I’m not very Y-A myself!😂

Yeah, I popped my cherry, why? Were you going to offer to pop it with me?!🤔😀😉 And you said the other comment wasn’t very Y-A!😂

I hosted a poetry giveaway for my 6 months blogging, it didn’t go well, to much hassle for people to actually write something so I didn’t bother when I reached a year blogging as I’m not a popular blogger.😢

        Liked by 1 person

    2. Ok, one, yes you are a popular blogger as every time I go to comment there’s 100 other comments there. So 😝.
      Two…what if I was offering? 😏
Three, yes I’m technically a cougar but more the kind with fur and great nails.

      1. Lol, there’s only lots of comments on the discussion type posts that I post, normally my blog is a barren and desolate wasteland of loneliness and quite with no comments!😂

Ha, well the answer to that would have to depend on what you were actually offering!😂

        Liked by 1 person

    3. Your blog is not a barren wasteland, at least never when I have commented,
Umm, I didn’t think I was being very subtle…you have to remember I have to keep it sounding somewhat PC bc of the YA aspect…
I think a smart guy like you could figure it out! 😉
      And that’s all she wrote.

    1. Wonderful that at least you could get it on Amazon! I’m thrilled!
I drooled a bit myself bc of this book…so I totally get it.
I’m glad you’re following bc an international one is coming soon, as I have a TON OF worldly people who follow and I don’t want to exclude them!
Thanks for the follow! I usually follow right back but it’ll just take me a day or two to go through comments…but I’m always happy to find a new blog friend! 😊😊😊

If you visit our HP group, we have two more members that wanted to be involved and talk HP and reached out to me…so hopefully this will work out well. Already started book three (I found a bunch of ePubs I can read)

Cool beans. Will they also be rereading the series with us, too? That’d be cool if they were. Either way, they’re both awesome. 🙂
I haven’t started book three yet, but hoping to this weekend. Haven’t even posted my review for book two yet!

    2. Don’t worry, I haven’t posted it either! 😂😂😂
I think they are there for moral support (and I figure they can fill in on our book five spotlight feature as a Q&A with “original readers” since the common complaint is book five is the hardest to get into…could be cool). No spotlight on this one for me…but it’s up to you if you want to do one. (I won’t judge you if you two remain friends…I just think she’s nuts now)
I love positive people and I’m always looking for more!! 😊😘

Sounds good to me! I hope to still do the spotlight for book three, though. Since I think I signed up to answer questions for Prisoner of Azkaban. 🙂 Yes, I love positive people too! I need as many positive friends as I can get!

        Liked by 1 person

    3. Oh, we will still do the spotlight feature, we just kind of “skipped” it for book two. Unless you wanted to do it, which is fine, but without her being in the group, it just seemed like we would skip this one.
Definitely your turn, my dear. And for book five (Sammi’s old book), we will question “muggles” (our non-readers in the group), and ask them questions from that book…so that we can use people who haven’t read it in awhile and ask them questions we have. We will make it fun. Maybe a pop quiz. Mwhoohaha. 😈

  10. I frikkin LOVE the covers to these books & the synopsis sound just as good. At 1st I got Throne Of Glass feels with the Necromancer King & dead army similarity but I’m hoping this one is much better than TOG lol. I am def adding it to my TBR., kicking myself for having missed the freebie at the end of March for Kindle. Great giveaway Stephanie, I have entered my hat in the ring, Good Luck everyone! 🙂

    1. I’m wishing you so much luck it hurts!! Really really!!
It’s ok…her book will go on sale again. And it’s worth it in my opinion. I did get it for free on Amazon so I could lend it to you if you ever want to read it (I had the galley but figured it wouldn’t hurt to have a copy to be able to lend)!
