The Fifth Wave Giveaway Book Blitz!!

I’m sure we all have heard of The Fifth Wave….whether we have read it or not.

Well, today Penguin has released a paperback version of THE ENTIRE 5TH WAVE TRILOGY, which means that it’s available much cheaper for fans of softcover books!

Heard of the book but not sure what it’s about? Or maybe you haven’t heard of the book at all?

Well, here’s a little blurb for you!

The Passage meets Ender’s Game in an epic new series from award-winning author Rick Yancey.

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother–or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

Sounds good, right? Well, there have been two other books in the series…

Talk about fabulous covers! 😍❀️😍❀️😍❀️😍❀️😍❀️😍

I am fortunate enough to own the first one in ebook format from the last sale, but The 5th Wave is also on sale today for $2.99!!

Not sure how long the sale goes, but I would grab it while you can: The 5th Wave – Rick Yancey (Amazon)

The first book was even made into a movie! I mean, that’s a sign of a good book! πŸ˜‰

So I was invited to do a little giveaway for a grand prize of the entire paperback collection, or one of five copies of The 5th Wave in paperback! I jumped on the chance to host a giveaway for these books! Gotta love giveaways!

Here’s all the info (you know, the small print):

And now a little bit about our author, Mr. Rick Yancey!

Rick Yancey (www.rickyancey.com) is the author of the New York Times bestseller The 5th Wave, The Infinite Sea, The Last Star, several adult novels, and the memoir Confessions of a Tax Collector. His first young-adult novel, The Extraordinary Adventures of Alfred Kropp, was a finalist for the Carnegie Medal. In 2010, his novel, The Monstrumologist, received a Michael L. Printz Honor, and the sequel, The Curse of the Wendigo, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. When he isn’t writing or thinking about writing or traveling the country talking about writing, Rick is hanging out with his family.

Sounds like a nice guy to me! So let’s get to it then! Who wants to enter a GIVEAWAY???

  1. Though I’m not a huge fan of the series, this is still some pretty exciting news. I might like to own a paperback version of the series, just to have the cool covers on my shelves! LOL

  2. This is amazing news, and an amazing giveaway as well. The 5th Wave is on my to-read list, I really need to get around to it soon especially if there are more books in the series being released!
My friend originally recommended these books to me so I know they’re good because she rarely recommends books unless she loves them! πŸ˜€ ❀

    1. Oh, good bc I really really want to read the series, as I feel totally out of the loop. And to know there are more books coming makes me feel a little better about being so behind!
But I trust your judgment, and if you’re planning on reading them, then I plan on it too! πŸ˜‰

    2. I know, right?? I bought it the last time it went on sale! I just never heard much about it: no one rants about it like The Maze Runner or The Hunger Games, so I thought it might be forgettable! But I guess it’s not!

  3. I have read the first book in the series and loved it! I also enjoyed its movie adaptation! I haven’t finished the series yet but I hope I’ll get back to it soon. I’m currently reading Flame in the Mist and so far, I’m enjoying it.

    1. Ooh, I hope you love Flame as much as I did!
And thank you! Though I found out when transferring the money that WePay and GoFundMe take a bite out of your money, which means I’m actually $20 short. So hopefully I can get that last bit to push me over the finish line! 😘🀞

  4. Congrats on going to Book Con!! It seems like it’s going to be SO much fun, there are so many amazing authors (and giveaways, lol). Unfortunately I’m about 30 hours of traveling away from being able to attend myself πŸ˜›

    1. I understand: I’m 10 driving hours away, and I have to take the Greyhound to make my mother feel better. I hate the idea of being without a car, but she’s concerned about car accidents and flat tires and parking in NYC, which I understand. I just wish I was going with someone.
Luckily my friend has a room booked and she will be going with me to the Con, so I won’t feel so alone. It’s an awfully big adventure, and my very first trip of my own! I hope it is worth it! πŸ˜‰

      1. That sounds like a really amazing trip!! Definitely a special one, that’s for sure ❀️ It does suck having to travel alone, but maybe you can make friends with someone on the bus! A bus buddy, lol πŸ˜‚ Can’t wait to hear how everything went!

    1. Thank you!! I’m frustrated that when I got to the end, they took $20 from me, so I had to up my goal, but I’m still going and I’m only $10 away now from taking care of the fees too. So I’m excited as hell!!

    1. Yeah, three more apparently! Same with Shatter Me! All sorts of e xoansions happening!
I’m SO EXCITED for the Con, but I also have anxiety, so I’m going to have to power through and do my best so I can meet as many people and get as much stuff as I can!
I’ll do a post about it when I get back, and I’ll be live-tweeting and Instagramming as much as possible bc so many people helped me get to go! 😍

I wish I could enter this giveaway: I think since I’m hosting it I’m not supposed to enter. I do have the first book and I plan on giving it a try!

  5. I don’t think I’ll be reading this series as I’m not too much of a fan of aliens… But I like the covers and I’m impressed with how well it’s been doing so far πŸ™‚
I might watch the movie first? Who knows…
Either way, great post, Stephanie! ^^
