TBR Thursday? Totally!

So I haven’t posted in awhile and that’s totally my bad! I have been all over the place with reading, acquiring beautiful books to read, and anything to do with books in general! (Don’t they smell so pretty? 😂)

Plus the teaching has me plum exhausted by the end of the day! I’m working on some Backlist Reads (The Bone Witch is my jam right now), but I have received some pretty exciting releases…and since last time you guys said you liked looking at my books…well, in lieu of a review (since I’m not done reading the book yet!), I decided to share some of my upcoming reads that I’m over the moon about receiving!

Here we go!!

Entangled Teen is totally my super friend. They sent me a copy of The November Girl and I am loving the sound of this book! Here’s a little info (and it’s perfect bc it’s still November, lol):

I was thrilled to receive this…but they also sent me this amazing package that was huge and filled with goodies, and I just about died.

I’m not one of those fancy Instagrammers that can make gorgeous pics, so this one was my best attempt. But this package really made me feel like they love their bloggers! It came with the book, Haven, and if it wasn’t for this, I would have missed out on hearing about it! Here’s the blurb in case you are in the dark like I was:

But they also sent me a mug, a poster, a portable charger (I know!), a lavender sachet, and a bookmark. Of course there was a little card and chocolates – but the chocolates are long gone. Godiva is too irresistible to save.

Now I have also been fortunate to have awesome friends who send me books or swap books with me. These are the amazing reads that are just so gorgeous, and I still have book mail that needs to be opened!

Here’s what The Queen’s Rising is all about!

Are you kidding me? I LOVE this kind of fantasy! I love kings and queens and pretty covers, oh my! When I saw this book, I knew it was one of my most anticipated reads. I was so psyched to get a copy.

Have you guys read Gilded Cage yet?? If you haven’t, then this one won’t be as exciting to you as it is to me. Basically this is the sequel, and I have been stalking the Twitterdom to find a copy. Luckily one finally came along…and I need to read it ASAP. My love for dystopian lit will never change. (I won’t even add a description here because if you haven’t read Gilded Cage, it won’t make sense to you and probably will spoil it for you…but read the book. Do it. I’m waiting.)

I got this book from my lovely friend Makenna, my head exploded. Like EXPLODED. I AM A MAJOR SHUSTERMAN STALKER. I loved the Unwind dystology and I am eager to read Scythe. This book is TO DIE FOR (ha ha get it? Oh, prob not if you haven’t read Scythe…I started it awhile back but my library copy had to go back…and then there were others…now it’s a priority for me to read it!)

Here….I will also wait patiently for you to run and go read Scythe. And then don’t spoil it for me because I’m planning on reading it next. Lol.

I knew as a coverwhore that this was one I had to have, even if I ended up hating the book. It’s STUNNING. My picture doesn’t do it justice. I am ashamed to even photograph it.

Here’s what The Wicked Deep is about:

Anything witchy is up my alley (if you haven’t read The Heretic’s Daughter and you are a witch trial buff, you must with a capital M read it). It didn’t hurt that this is one of the prettiest books of 2018, either. If I was artsy, I could imagine all sorts of Instagram shots. But alas, I am not. And my camera on my phone doesn’t like the foil lettering.

I think I’ll leave off with this one and make this a two-parter post…way too many juicy reads to shove into one post, I’m realizing now. I was going to leave off with Batman, but I think I’ll save that for next time, mwhoohaha!

But that doesn’t mean The Final Six should be discounted!

This book is a science fiction, my all-time fave genre! (You thought it was fantasy, didn’t you? Well, you would be wrong! Hahaha!)

When Leo, an Italian championship swimmer, and Naomi, a science genius from California, are two of the twenty-four teens drafted into the International Space Training Camp, their lives are forever altered. After erratic climate change has made Earth a dangerous place to live, the fate of the population rests on the shoulders of the final six who will be scouting a new planet. Intense training, global scrutiny, and cutthroat opponents are only a few of the hurdles the contestants must endure in this competition.

For Leo, the prospect of traveling to Europa—Jupiter’s moon—to help resettle humankind is just the sense of purpose he’s been yearning for since losing his entire family in the flooding of Rome. Naomi, after learning of a similar space mission that mysteriously failed, suspects the ISTC isn’t being up front with them about what’s at risk.

As the race to the final six advances, the tests get more challenging—even deadly. The final cover for this is not as pretty as this one, so it makes me sad. Why mess with success? I think this cover is boss! (Yeah, I just went old-timey with ya!)

So that’s it for my sharing right now…there’s lots more to show but I can’t just put all the good stuff in one post! And I really should see what happens in The Bone Witch since the sequel, The Heart Forger, is coming out, and it looks just as jaw=dropping as the first one!
