🎶 Happy Blogoversary to Me, Happy Blogoversary to Me 🎶

I still cannot believe it. One year. One whole freakin year. 

And what a year it’s been! I went from no followers and an attempted Blogger account (which didn’t work on my iPad or have an app, so I had to scrap it), to 3,000 followers and over 20K page views. 

You guys couldn’t make me any happier. 

I went from a lonely girl posting her reviews on Goodreads and attending college to starting a blog, graduating college, and becoming a TEACHER! My dreams have come true. I’ve made great friends, some of whom I’ve met in real life. Others I haven’t met but are like family (I’m talking to you Sammi, Tiff, Kester, and Beth) or newer friends that I can talk to about anything and have made me want to be a more active blogger in the real world (like go to signings, Melanie, or travel to Utah, Krysti)! 

I have made a wonderful little blogger bunny family with some great people who comment on all my posts (you know I know who you are!) and give me support when I’m down (mainly during some Twitter DM convos that have gotten me through rough times). 

You guys made this time pass so fast! 

I’m still meeting new bloggers and though I recently made a IRL blogger friend Anya, she had to move for a Professorship in Iowa. So it hurts to lose people after meeting them, but if it wasn’t for blogging, I would never have had a reason to ask her what all her packages were for (we met at the PO and we were both dealing with bookmail, lol…this beginning the start of a beautiful friendship!)

So I’ve decided to make this month a BLOGGER EXTRAVAGANZA! 

I started with the giveaway with Zodiac, then did a Twitter giveaway for an audiobook copy of Girls Made of Snow and Glass…then we had The Intuitives authors offer up three copies of their books…and I have another secret one coming next week! I’m also offering a Cassandra Clare Shadowhunters Pin on Twitter, too!

I’ve been notorious for winning some amazing giveaways on Twitter and in the book community, and I have had some luck with getting some great books from pubs….so I’m GIVING BACK TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN A PART OF MY BLOGGING JOURNEY!

So what should I do to show my undying love??

Well, after the giveaways coming up this next week, I’ll be doing my own here AND on Twitter…for an ARC from 2017. Not gonna ruin the surprise, but I want my blogoversary to continue all month! So keep your eyes glued 👀 here and Twitter…maybe even Bookstagram…for some amazing prizes to give back to all the people who helped me get to BookCon and ALA! 

It’s going to be craaaaaaaaazy! 

Everybody gets a car, lol. 

No but seriously, I wish I could give all of you prizes. Because I prize you. 

If you haven’t noticed, I also updated my banner to be a little “snazzier,” according to my friend Fernanda!

(I make all of these graphics and do all my blog design on my iPad, so it’s challenging, but WordPress has been helpful in that respect!)

I want to thank all of you who have helped my classroom library grow. I want to thank all the authors who don’t mind me fangirling over them (Elly Blake, I’m looking at you!). I want to thank the people who make me laugh and enjoy reading and reviewing YA literature for the classroom and for readers of all ages.
